Join us on 3 de Mayo for our Cinco de Mayo event. Last year we had over 4000 attendees from all over the island, including visitors from other parts of the US. To sign up as a vendor you’ll need to fill out this application, our team will review it and will send you the vendor agreement link by email. Please be specific about the items you are selling or the menu items you will have.

Food Vendor requirements:

  • Dept of Health Food Establishment Permit

  • Menu with suggested prices (to be reviewed & approved)

  • Must provide your own equipment and supplies to set up, break down and clean up area (tent, quiet generators, cooking equipment, trash bags, etc)

  • Attend an Informational Zoom Meeting

  • Provide 3 meal vouchers (for volunteers, entertainment, staff)

  • Hand Wash Station

  • WAI KAI IS COMMITTED TO MAKING RESPONSIBLE DECISIONS TO PROTECT AND REDUCE OUR IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND OCEANS BY IMPLEMENTING SUSTAINABLE ACTIONS FOR OUR FUTURE. WE REQUIRE CLIENT AND ITS VENDORS DO THE SAME.

    Sustainable practices are essential due to the Project’s proximity to the ocean, lagoon and natural wildlife that surrounds us. To further this sustainability objective, Client shall comply, and shall cause its vendors to comply, with the following requirements:

    1. No single-use plastics or other disposable plastic products shall be permitted at the Event. This includes, but is not limited to, plastic bags, packaging, bottles, beverage containers, sample cups/spoons, straws, and polystyrene foam (a.k.a. Styrofoam.

    2. Vendors shall, if possible and commercially reasonable, use reusable products and packaging rather than disposable products and packaging at the Event.

    3. If disposable products are used, such products must be 100% BPI certified compostableand, with respect to food service items, meet the American Society for Testing and Materials d6400 or d6868 standards. Disposable products that do not meet these standards are expressly prohibited.

    4. Compostable “plastics” may be used, but only if they are 100% BPI certified compostable.

    5. Client is encouraged to use linen napkins for the Event. If Client does not use linen napkins, then paper napkins may be used, provided that such napkins are either 100% BPI certified compostable, or made with at least 80% post-consumer recycled material and non-bleached, and that such paper napkins are stored in containers.

    6. Beverages in aluminum bottles or glass bottles are permitted and may be served at the Event, provided that such bottles shall be recycled in accordance with applicable provisions of this Agreement.

    7. Only paper or other compostable straws are permitted for use at the Event. Client shall advise its vendors to offer straws only upon request.

  • Event must be plastic-free: reusable or compostable serve ware complying with requirements above must be used.

    • All vendors must use either reusable or 100% BPI certified compostable/biodegradable serve ware for their food distribution and that plastic bottled beverages, utensils, and other plastic serve ware are not allowed.
